10:30 - 11:30 | KPMG R&D Tax Credit Session (livestreamed on 'Beyond')

KPMG Private Enterprise will be hosting a session focussed on raising entrepreneurs' awareness of R&D tax credits. The session will be livestreamed on their 'Beyond' platform. Slush'D ticketholders can connect and collaborate with other innovators ahead of Liverpool Slush'D 2023 by joining our exclusive Slush'D community on KPMG Private Enterprise's "Beyond" platform. Here we will bring together some of the UK's most exciting, fast-growth, innovative businesses. Discover insights to fuel decision making, explore challenges, share best practices and experiences with like-minded peers. Debbie Reith, Dan O'tool, Amy Todd and Patrick Molyneux from KPMG will lead the session.

Please note that KPMG's session (10:30am - 11:30am) will be livestreamed via their own streaming platform. Accordingly, guests will not be able to enter the venue once this session commences. Please can all in-person guests be seated by 10:25am.

A panel session with Jenny Tooth OBE (UK Business Angel Association), Rebeca Garcia (Cubode), Sam Simpson (Founder Catalyst) and Patrick Molyneux (KPMG Acceleris). Founders trying to make the transition from 'idea' to 'business', and those trying to raise their first investments will find this session particularly useful.

14:45 - 15:15 | UK Tech News: Liverpool City Region report launch

In this panel session hosted by UKTN’s Rob Scammell, Matt Johnson (Form), Prof Anthony Hollander (University of Liverpool), Helen Cross (Growth Platform) and Lorna Davidson (redwigwam) will be discussing the newly launched UKTN report on the Liverpool City Region ecosystem. The session will highlight upcoming opportunities for growth in addition to shining a light on local heroes.

15:50 - 16:10 | “Ask Me Anything” Session - Audience Q&A with Seed Stage Founders

Unfortunately, Phin Mpofu is unable to deliver his session on the role of community in building startups due to illness. In place of this session, we will be running an audience Q&A with three companies who are all undergoing the transition from startup to scaleup, with different business models, investment rounds and GTM strategies.

Oli Yonchev is the Co-founder and CEO of Flight Story, the company he started with Steven Bartlett. The pair previously enjoyed huge success at Social Chain. Oli will be sharing his insights of deploying bleeding edge technology to create huge business advantages - and also the potential pitfalls associated with navigating or missing out on such technology.

Liverpool Slush'D welcomes Professor Chas Bountra (Oxford University Innovations), Dr Srijan Jindal (phenUtest), Ben Miles (Spin Up Science) and Lorna Green (Lyva Labs) to share insights with guests about the direction of travel in commercialising and scaling Deep Tech ventures.

Daytime guests will be joined by additional 'Evening Only' ticket holders and regulars of the #KPMGNWTech annual drinks event. Entertainment will be provided by acclaimed local DJ Ant Chandler (Garlands, Eden Ibiza, Ministry of Sound, Ocean Beach, Paradisco).
